Giuliano Grittini

Giuliano Grittini was born in 1951 in Corbetta, a town in the province of Milan. He attended the School of Graphic Design and began his artistic training “in the workshop” alongside various artists in the lively Milan of the 1960s. While working and producing artist’s books, he deepened his knowledge of lithography, engraving, and screen printing techniques. After several years, he earned the title of master art printer.He has created works in collaboration with numerous artists, including Baj, Fiume, Sassu, Guttuso, Scanavino, Tadini, Warhol, Vasarely, and Rotella. A photography enthusiast, he has also portrayed many of them during different stages of their creative process.His photographs and artworks have been published by Rizzoli, Bompiani, Frassinelli, L’Espresso, Panorama, Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, and L’Unità. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and participated in both national and international events.In 2016, after various experiments, Grittini invented “CRACKER ART,” one of his most original stylistic signatures. Through this technique, he deconstructs and reconstructs iconic images of our time using mixed materials and vibrant colors. He combines photography, screen printing, and collage to create compositions that captivate with their chromatic liveliness and visual impact, elevating advertising language and everyday materials into an art form rich with layered meanings.
